Challah Abdeckungen und Baugruppen
Challah is braided Jewish bread that is usually eaten on Shabbat and holidays. The bread sits on a special Challah board and cut with a special knife, usually placed in front of the head of the table. During Kiddush, the blessing of the wine, the Challah is covered so as not to embarrass the bread. World of Judaica presents a myriad of breathtaking pieces to bring to your Shabbat table.
Our Challah boards come in spectacular designs in many different materials, shapes and colours. We have modern looking Challah boards and more traditional Challah boards. They come in rectangular, oval and other interesting shapes, such as a Hamsa. Many of them say "Shabbat Shalom" and have designs engraved or painted on them such as pomegranates and wheat. Some boards come with a Challah knife, but others you have to buy separately.
The Challah knives we offer come in a number of colours and shapes too. Select a Challah board and a knife that are sold separately that match and complement one another for your Shabbat table. Buy a set as a wedding gift!
A beautiful Challah cover is essential to the completion of a Shabbat table. Often Challah covers have "Shabbat" or "Yom Tov" written on them with a pretty design. Some people like to own a few covers designated for special occasions such as Rosh Hashanah Challah covers. A Challah cover can also be an amazing housewarming or Bar/Bat Mitzvah gift.
